The Manager, Merchandising and Planning is responsible for setting, driving and executing product merchandising strategies, in-depth business analysis of promotions and pricing, managing inventory levels, and partnering with finance to ensure budgets are achieved.This role will manage and develop the Merchandise Planner/s position, ensuring optimum efficiencies around planning and allocation of product for PANDORA (concept and outlet) stores in Canada, and collaborating with other functional areas of the business to drive sales and results.


Responsibilities
• Forecast, price, edit and assort product lines that will drive incremental growth, ensuring alignment with broader merchandise strategies and financial goals
• Partner with finance on weekly, monthly, and quarterly merchandising plans to ensure targets are met
• Drive financial planning strategies and inventory levels, allocation and replenishment through in-depth analysis of forecasting reports, promotional calendars, sales analysis, feedback, and historical data
• Develop process and reporting to track and analyze sales trends, develop solutions based on strong analytics and insights
• Partner with US counterparts to develop and execute SKU management, local assortments, and hindsight analyses
• Provide SKU analysis to assess product performance vs LY and optimize promotional planning
• Assist to develop seasonal assortment architecture whilst supporting PANDORA strategic initiatives
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Marketing, eCommerce, Operations for merchandise reviews, assortment planning, development of marketing plans, financial planning, and inventory flow to achieve business objectives across all channels
• Contribute to seasonal pricing finalization, partnering with US Merchandising team on execution, and final communication to global Merchandising team
• Drive merchandise packaging and GWP activities in partnership with internal regional team members and key global partners
• Conduct regular store visits to gather feedback, communicate changes, and increase customer focus
• Lead direct reports in Merchandise Planning and Allocations by providing day-to-day support, coaching, training, skill development, and growth opportunities

Required Skills and Experience
• Passionate about the PANDORA brand
• 5-7 years experience in a similar merchandising, planning or finance position
• Post-secondary degree in Business, Finance or Merchandising
• Strong business and financial acumen, strong inventory management skills and retail sales analysis expertise 
• Commercially focused
• Strong customer focus
• Collaborative and demonstrates a high level of integrity and credibility
• Excellent negotiation and influencing skills
• Skilled verbal and written communicator
• Excellent presentation skills with proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
