The Senior Director, Marketing will direct and oversee the US Marketing Department.  The Senior Director, Marketing will have design, implement, and monitor effective marketing strategies that align with both financial and brand funnel targets for the US Market. 

Of critical importance is having an analytical and data-driven mindset to quickly assess performance and influence decision-making as well as future plans. The Senior Director of Marketing will lead a team that executes strategies for Brand & Trade Marketing, Media & Digital Marketing, Public Relations, and Visual Merchandising.  The Senior  Director of Marketing will work in close collaboration with key counterparts in Merchandising & Sales to shape the strategy, execution and financial plan for the market. In addition, he/she will partner closely with finance for planning & reporting.  The Senior Director of Marketing will report directly to the General Manager for the US Market and work very closely with the Chief Marketing Officer from the Americas Region to ensure US plans are aligned with Pandora’s global strategy.   The Senior Director of Marketing will partner with the head of US E-Commerce to maximize the consumer journey and spend effectiveness. The Senior Director of Marketing will work closely with various agencies to maximize marketing spend and content effectiveness.  The Senior Director of Marketing will have the responsibility of managing the marketing budget for the US and demonstrating a strong ROI on the spend through both top line revenue, increased traffic, social engagement, performance media ROAS and improvements in priority brand health metrics. Lastly and importantly, as the market, channels and company are in change management mode, leader must be able to build a case for change, create plan, onboard stakeholders and drive execution of change.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop and implement a cohesive marketing plan to increase brand awareness, desire, and promote traffic increases
  • Leverage analysis and understanding of retail landscape/business dynamics to align marketing activities to overall business results
  • Manage the US Marketing budget to ensure maximum return on spend and brand objectives
  • Track competitors’ activities
  • Enable the digital transformation that the organization is undergoing through a solid understanding of tools and systems
  • Conduct market analysis to identify challenges and opportunities for growth
  • Build alignment and gain buy-in with key commercial partners
  • Monitor campaigns, analyze effectives, and influence future decisions within the organization.
  • Participate in US Senior Leadership Team meetings / planning sessions
  • Provide insights, ideas, and learnings to inform creation of US Commercial Calendar
  • Manage agency relationships, philanthropic partnerships, and other cross-branding opportunities.
  • Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to empower direct reports including Director, Brand Marketing, Media & Digital Traffic Manager, PR Manager, and Visual Merchandising Manager. Leverage Emotional maturity and empathy to maximize effectiveness of team and collaboration with matrix and cross functional partner

Educational Background: BA


  • 8+ years’ experience
  • Prior experience as a Marketing Director, or other Senior roles within retail and branded business
